2012 - Travel Experiences

During 2012 we will be travelling to Vietnam, India, Indonesia, Thailand and Ecuador to replenish and enhance our stock. We will do our best to bring a wide variety of interesting and quality products from around the world to Manotick Station for you. We are looking forward to seeing you this fall.

Of course not all we do in the 'off season' is travel. If you passed the fields of Manotick station this past December you may have noticed some tile drainage work being done. The lucky customers of Roots and Shoots Farms (www.rootsandshootsfarm.com) will be benefiting from the improved soil drainage we will have in 2012. The soil of Manotick Station is very rich, however the water table is high; tile drainage will remove excess water from the soil subsurface, bringing moisture levels down for optimal crop growth. Bring on those tasty Veggies!
